My name is Alexander and I am a winemaker and photographer based in Portland, OR. I grew up in Orlando, FL, went to photojournalism school at Western Kentucky University in Bowling Green. After graduation I worked as a photojournalist in the non-profit sector, primarily on assignment in east Africa. Somewhere along the way I ended up in Italy and fell in love with wine. Starting in the 2023 vintage I started making wine under my own label, Meliora Wine Company. The inaugural wines will be bottled in the winter and released in the Spring of 2025.

I also still take on photographic projects, just not during harvest. Wink*
