Imagination Yoga

Imagination Yoga is a Portland based company that created a unique, fun and beautiful yoga format/platform for children and youth. Started by Jesse McClintic and Jamie Dix, sisters who share an infectious passion for mindfulness, children and the many benefits of yoga, Imagination Yoga is not a studio, but a group that certifies yogi’s to teach a fun, child-focused and narrative-driven form of yoga. They have created a movement to get 25 million children around the world to practice kindness through yoga by 2025. I feel fortunate to be a part of the team and help bring their vision and passion to life.

Jesse and Jamie came to me for website and photo work earlier this year and they were extremely prepared and came with some incredible branding (shoutout plastic-sunshine.com) for the site they envisioned.

We talked about simplicity of design and bold photography would evoke emotion and attempt to set a fun, friendly and engaging tone that reflects their personalities and the spirit of Imagination Yoga.

While designing the website, which you can see at imaginationyoga.com, we planned a photoshoot at a local private yoga studio, with art direction and styling by Hoda Pishvaie, to generate photographs for the website.

It was a whirlwind three hours. It is not often I try to shoot the photos for an entire website in 1 go, but this was a perfectly planned and organized affair and we were able to meet all of the objectives and produce work Jesse and Jamie were stoked with. The website is now complete and looks great. We have received some amazing feedback and I am really proud to have been able to help bring their vision to life.

Here are some of the images from the shoot.
